WAYS OF GIVING

There are a variety of ways you can make a significant difference for Safe Homes:

MAKE A DONATION

Unlike similar programs, Safe Homes does not receive state or federal funding. We rely on support from foundations, businesses, churches, and individuals in order to continue to provide vital services to LGBTQ youth.

WISH LIST

Safe Homes accepts in-kind donations to distribute to youth in need. Some examples of items donated in the past include personal care products, gift certificates to grocery stores, Target, Walmart, art stores, and restaurants. In addition, we welcome donations for our Transgender Boudoir.

GETTING RID OF YOUR CAR?

You can donate your used car to benefit Safe Homes! Together with K&R Auto Salvage, Safe Homes and The Bridge now operate a Chariot for Charity program. With the completion of one simple form, you can help Safe Homes, have your car removed safely and easily, and receive a tax credit.

GETTING MARRIED?

Many happy couples have asked their guests to make donations to Safe Homes in lieu of wedding/shower gifts. This is a unique way to share your celebration and make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth. You will be notified of any such donations and your friends’ gifts will be acknowledged in our Agency Annual Report.

EVENT SPONSORSHIP

Contact us to learn more about how you can be a sponsor for our annual Safe Homes Gala & People of Courage Awards.

VOLUNTEER

Safe Homes is actively seeking adult advisors to assist with our program operations. This is a rewarding way to put your talents to use helping LGBTQ youth. Training is provided and all volunteers will be oriented to Safe Homes routines and expectations.

If you are interested in learning more about volunteering or donating to Safe Homes, please contact Laura Farnsworth at safehomesma.org or by completing an online application or calling  508.755.0333.
